This is a speed run I never thought I'd have the pleasure of uploading! Holy moly. This is a speed run of Dragon View, using the Grand Memory Clobber glitch to call the credits from Ortah temple. This skips over an hour of content at the cost of being WILDLY unpredictable. This is the 2nd time it has ever happened on console, by anybody, and both times happened to be done by me. This is the only run of those two that was done in a single playthrough without savestates. Even the TAS was unable to call the credits and get them to play to completion; the credits get stuck halfway through.

The Grand Memory Clobber is the result of one uncleared/dirty byte in memory being used as a loop counter later in the game. Instead of running the loop once, it iterates hundreds of times, copying and overwriting large blocks of code and then running it. It almost always crashes the game, deletes your save data, or literally laughs at you, but in incredibly rare cases it will exit the loop gracefully and play the credits. Many extremely talented individuals have looked into this and tried to make sense of it, but the end conclusion was the same: this basically comes entirely down to luck.

I spent ~60 hours in one week continuously throwing attempts at this in hopes of calling the credits. 40 runs made it to the Grand Memory Clobber, and this was the only time the credits played. I am incredibly lucky to have gotten it within that few attempts. I will not be trying to improve this time. I am happy to have gotten a single recorded run of this, and will focus on the other categories instead.
