I messed up the step route in this video, please look at the pastebin below for the route and the proper step route.

There's definitely a faster way to do the Metal Slime battle, and the step route in the pastebin only for sure works with the first 5 frames you could possibly the clear the last save text box on. Though 5 frames seems like enough wiggle room for this.
Next step: Actually do this in a run.
