Previously, Heorot ventured north to Santanoni and rescued the (very strange) Prince of Lockhart. In return, the Prince gave him the Compass, which shows Heorot's location on the overworld relative to Darby. This Compass will be helpful in locating a needed key item referenced in the Scrolls found in the castle treasury. This item is located 12 steps east and 12 steps south of Darby. Another excellent item can be found in the same vicinity.

So, after resuming, Heorot treks back to Darby in the north. North of Sagamore, he passes through the Cave to Darby again to reach the northern continent (time 5:48).

He stops in Darby for a brief rest stop (time 8:29). Then, he heads off in search of the key item he needs. He has to first go northeast towards Santanoni and then go south around the mountain chain surrounding Darby. South of Darby, he will have to cross a bridge and make his way through a desert. The enemies here get pretty dangerous. It may be a good idea to just run.

By the southern coast, Heorot turns west. In the southwestern swamp, he will find the Enchanted Armor (time 15:51). The Compass will show it at 41 steps west and 25 south. The Enchanted Armor is the best armor in the game. It provides HP regeneration while you walk, and it nullifies damage from damage terrain.

From the southern coast, Heorot goes east and then north into a swamp surrounded by mountains. The location to search is in the north of the swamp, at 12 steps east and 12 steps south (time 18:15). Searching here, Heorot finds the Wizard's Code. This goes to the wizard living northwest of Darby.

Rather than wading back through the hordes of murderous monsters, Heorot returns to Lockhart Castle for a rest stop (time 18:39). After resting, he makes his way back towards Darby.

Along the way back, Heorot reaches Level 15 (time 21:22). He learns Repel, which reduces the encounter rate for a while. It seems to be very good in this game.

Northwest of Darby, he heads down into the cave (time 23:41). Now that Heorot has the Wizard's Code, the old fogey that lives here will get out of the way.

Afterwards, Heorot collects the White Stone from the chest (time 24:02). This is the last of three stones he needs to reach Devmin's Castle north of Uncas.

Heorot then revisits Darby (time 24:50). He sells off his old Magic Armor. He will need 14,800 gold to pick up the Silver Shield.

He leaves town to fight a little bit before returning to the castle (time 26:29). Earning experience takes on more importance now that he is nearing the end of the game.

When he is done, he returns to Lockhart Castle (time 29:26). In the next episode, he will save up for the Silver Shield.
