Previously, Davilas landed on the continent of Rendaashia and made his way southwest to Meru Sandy village, the first of three places he will have to visit to gain entry to Gran Zedoura. In beginning the Meru Sandy storyline, he has met cute little Rasuka, lovely Mishua, and gruff village chief Gasshu. Next, he will have to head to the Meru Waterwheel northwest of town.

My video starts in the midst of hiring support characters in Meru Sandy's pub. The first five minutes or so of the recording got corrupted, but I'm glad I was able to save most of it.

After getting his party together, Davilas exits south to the Meru Sandy Grain Fields (time 1:59). As Davilas leaves town, there is an event with Rasuka and Mishua. Mishua tries to cheer Rasuka up after he was scolded by Gasshu earlier. She is sweet as well as beautiful.

We then gain control outside of town (time 5:09). The Meru Waterwheel is up at C-1 in the northwest. The northwest road traces a meandering route to that location.

At D-1 east of the Meru Waterwheel exit, there is a red chest containing Mini Medal #160 (time 9:55). Counting the 43 he has already spent, Davilas is currently at 117 medals.

Then, at C-1, Davilas exits north to the Meru Waterwheel House (time 10:37).

At D-4, on the southwest side of the waterwheel house, there is a red chest containing Mini Medal #161 (time 11:48). Counting the 43 he has already spent, Davilas is currently at 118 medals.

At D-1, behind the tree, there is a red chest containing 3 lottery tickets (time 12:10).

Afterwards, Davilas heads into the main house through the door at D-5 (time 12:42). Within, he meets an older lady named Kope. She wants Davilas to check inside the waterwheel house.

So, Davilas heads into the waterwheel house through the door at E-3 (time 14:59). Inside, there are two nasty rabbits, Baati and Jaami being mean to a poor little Man o' War! They have him jammed into the wheel's cogs, preventing it from turning. Davilas scares the rabbits off, and the Man o' War flits off free. This allows the waterwheel to turn again.

At E-3 within the waterwheel house, there is a red chest containing 5 Magic Vials (time 16:57).

Then, Davilas barges in on Kope again (time 17:38). During the scene, Mishua arrives. They speak about Rasuka and Gasshu.

After the scene, Davilas must meet Mishua around the back of the waterwheel house (time 22:12). Mishua tells Davilas about some things. During this, the little Man o' War returns with a reddish gemstone. Oh, what a grateful little fellow! Then, Kope will show up again. After Mishua walks away, Kope will dash in and snatch the gemstone.

The scenes at the waterwheel house are now done, so Davilas zooms back to Meru Sandy (time 27:19). As Davilas, Kope, and Mishua arrive, Gasshu and the guard Saval are talking about someone named Denny. Gasshu seems thrilled to see Kope, but the reverse is definitely not true! Then, the irrepressible Rasuka shows up. Kope will return the reddish gemstone she had confiscated earlier.

Afterwards, Davilas stays in the inn's VIP room (time 32:38). The inn doesn't even seem to have a VIP room... Anyway, during his rest, someone is abducted by a massive hand out of the darkness! Great shades of Ocarina of Time's Bongo Bongo! The only witness, Routi, is scared out of her wits.

Now, it is time to go after the hand, so Davilas exits town (time 36:01).

To the west, he takes the B-4 exit to a sunlit clearing with a well (time 37:43). It looks like the hand kidnapped Mishua, and Rasuka followed them. The hand retreats down the well. To Gasshu's horror, Rasuka goes after it! What a brave little fellow. We will have to follow.

In the next video, Davilas will explore the Mysterious Underground Waterway.
