This is video #14 in my Dragon Warrior III playthrough. The party has helped the village of Noaniels recover from a lengthy sleep, and they have returned the Golden Crown to Romaly. Their next journey is to the southeast. Along the way, Alyssa the Fighter reaches Level 13 (time index 2:12 - 2:54).

After some time, they reach the town of Assaram in the "Middle East" (time index 6:25). Apparently, this town is known for its belly dancing, but there are no performances during the day. Some items in this shop are good upgrades, but many are colossal wastes of money. In particular, avoid the shop that does not post its prices. The Battle Axe, sold for 2,500 Gold, is a good upgrade for the Hero and, if you have one, the Soldier. However, the shop that sells it at this price is only open at night. The Revealing Swimsuit is worthless.

The townspeople will point the party to their next destination: Isis in the desert to the southwest.

Before heading out, the party kills time and monsters until nightfall to explore Assaram's vibrant nightlife. After a few minutes of killing monsters, Angelo the Pilgrim reaches Level 14 (time index 10:07 - 10:52) and learns Healmore. A few minutes later, Heorot the Hero reaches Level 13 (time index 11:47 - 12:39).

Later, after night has fallen, the party heads back into Assaram (time index 13:32). Unlike some other towns, this place is bustling at night. Attractions include the dancing hall and the fortune teller. The fortune teller's dad ruins the show. :-)

As for more practical matters, the party can get the Battle Axe for the Hero at night in the building north of the water fountain.

Next, it will be time to head southwest to the country of Egypt--er, Isis.
