Dragonfable RoadMap to BIS items challenge 5 | The engineer
1Against engineer, try to get at least 2 -bonus. You might need to do the challenge over and over to roll for this. I always back out on floor2 if i don't get the -bonus so that i don't waste time.
With pirate, i always kill the offensive drone 1st so engineer don't get the bonus/crit and proc his stun/-75all on me. This means i have to deal with his 60+all so the fight is SLOW, but consistent. Draco have 160 assistance so that i can hit engineer through his bpd on the turns target practice wears off.
This strategy is 100% consistent BUT is really annoying because you need to roll for -bonus again and again. The RNG is in the floor rolls and not in the fight. And you need to pay attention to the boss's atk for quite long as it's a dragged out fight.
Another high risk, high reward strategy i adopt is to use technomancer and get a decent amt of WIS. Choose some -immo. Then kill the 2 guards with around 250mp remaining. Thanks to techno's -50all, his 2 stun skills + reset & dragon stun, you can stun the boss for (2x3)+1 turns.
This strategy is not annoying because you dunnid to roll for -bonus, just get 1-2 -immo and anything else that isn't +15all. BUT if any of your stuns miss then you're screwed. The RNG is in the fight itself.
During the turns where engineer is stunned, it doesn't contribute to the defensive drone's revival countdown. Use uragiri and your best offensive set and go crazy on him. If done right, you can usually wipe 8000hp off him before the chain stuns wears off, and kill him before the 1st defensive drone revival.
#5 fight for inn beginners, as apotheosis is necessary for inn fights going forward. Accidentally used cysero's spare hammer in the challenge when it isn't available.
