Dragon's Dogma 2 is the sequel to Capcom's cult classic Dragon's Dogma from the Xbox 360 that really came out of no where. Fans like myself were shocked when it was announced that Dragon's Dogma 2 was in development and the time leading up to launch was filled with promising trailers and gameplay that made the game look better in every way compared to the original. Right before launch the reviews for the game released and the reception was overwhelmingly positive and it looked like Dragon's Dogma 2 was a real contender for Game of the Year 2024...that was until the Microtransactions, Performance Issues, and Save File Drama emerged. Not only is Dragon's Dogma 2 an extremely poorly optimized game on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X, but the game featured some microtransactions that granted immediate access to easily obtained items in the game early on in this single player story driven RPG. Some going as far as to describe them as Pay To Win. Did Capcom's Greed RUIN Dragon's Dogma 2 and cause the game to FAIL?
