Dragon's Dogma 2 - The First Couple of Hours
Well, the first couple of hours at *my* pace anyway.
In any case, so far it seems like an overall improvement on the original, but it does indeed feel more like a significantly improved re-imagining of the original, but that's not a bad thing. If you liked the original/Dark Arisen, you should definitely like this. Assuming you aren't plagued with issues. My experience was pretty darn solid, outside of a blip with my display (that fortunately didn't interrupt my audio/video recording).
The addition of microtrasactions, however optional, on a single player game like this is rather disagreeable though. Especially since one of the items is fast travel related, even though the director (I think it was him) seemed pretty adamant that the limited in-game options was a choice to encourage players to hoof it everywhere. Sort of muddles the message with muck, doesn't it? He probably doesn't have much say in the microtransaction side of the game, but it's still unpalatable.
