Today looking at how Drake Hollow plays as close as possible as a survival game. Numerous updates released this past year including a sandbox mode along with more enemy types and additions to the combat mechanics.
Playing in iron man mode even with one life one chance turned off Drake Hollow still forces you to learn as much about the game as possible. Everything from the output of your structures while deciding whether to engagement in combat or otherwise raid or even avoid some islands makes it a much more engaging experience. Despite this, Your drakes cannot really die or even lower in level, which can even be a strategic advantage. Also the ease of rebuilding your base since you don't lose much in resources when rebuilding lower the overall stakes. Still given it's length and greater challenge it's the definitive way to play Drake Hollow especially with friends.
