Behold! Glorious 1080p! The game looks SO much better now that I've got everything setup. Basically you have to run an HDMI splitter to work around the HDCP crap from the PS3, and that's actually what was causing my black screen before that I complained about in the last video. Now, if the game itself could not drop frames like Dito drops "hints" that he wants to "warm up" Zero, that'd be great.
Settling in on the combat again, we've got a new mechanic! Changing weapons allows us to chain combos along even further, and actually looking at the combos on the pause screen lets us know that we get some pretty cool magical effects when we follow the right button presses. Very Drakengard 2-ish. But in a good way! The aerial combat to ground dragon combat is awesome as well, it feels great to be able to smash soldiers on the ground and not have to just glide past them like in the previous games. Mikhail controls well too, so the section with the cannons and soldiers was tons of fun.
