Drawn to Life: Spongebob Squarepants Edition is a spin-off game in the Drawn to Life series developed by Altron and published by THQ for the Nintendo DS. It begins just like the episode of "Frankendoodle" with an artist dropping his pencil into the sea. Patrick finds the magic pencil and remembers that he's not supposed to draw Doodlebob after last time, but does so anyway. Then Doodlebob begins drawing creatures all around Bikini Bottom. Spongebob and Patrick find the other magic pencil and decide to draw up their own hero to fight Doodlebob. The player gets to draw the hero who appears in the game. The game then becomes a platformer as the hero moves through each level erasing Doodlebob's graffiti or turning his creatures into friends. The player gets to draw many aspects of the game, such as a victory platform, a house, platforming bubbles, etc. Spongebob, Patrick, and Squidward each have different abilities that can aid the player on their quest.
