Dread X Collection: The Hunt [2] Uktena 64 // Everywhere, Cameras!
I wonder if I just happened to play the only two games with cameras in a row, or this is a shared idea between the games.
Uktena 64 was made by KIRA, who also made Lost in Vivo and the DXC 3 hub world, among other games. This was incredibly well done. The art style felt accurate to the N64, and it looked gorgeous. The gunplay was enjoyable, and when I started getting tired of the rifle it switched up my inventory. The end level was paced excellently, as it drew out the encounter long enough that it ramped up the tension and I thought it might have been a red herring.
For the curious, here's what the encrypted notes said:
Praise our newfound god! The seed from beyond took root beneath our hallowed hills
I become more than one. I grow, and stretch and twist. Like my followers before me. Oh what a dreadful dream. To die but keep growing.
Not sure what the TGM code did at the end, but my theory is that it toggled god mode (hence the letters). I wonder what the final boss would've looked like as a human with that one code.
