How to root a Dreame Robot and install the Valetudo Firmware: Follow the guide at https://valetudo.cloud/pages/installation/dreame.html and watch some explanatory steps here that will explain the process of rooting and flashing the robot.

Warning: Opening the robot and connecting to the Dreame Bot is at your own risk! To be on the safe side, follow the Valetudo instructions and only load the firmware from the official Dustbuilder source (https://builder.dontvacuum.me)!

Our hardware used:
• A Raspberry Pi as a simple Linux computer (other computers should also work here. There are numerous Linux alternatives to the currently very expensive Raspberry computers - the video shows an old Raspberry Pi 2.)
• UART TTL-USB adapter to connect to the robot (https://amzn.to/3l9pgr1)*
• A Windows PC with WIFI module for the Helper httpbridge
• Another computer to connect to the Raspberry / Linux computer.

If our Raspberry had had a monitor, keyboard and mouse, the 3rd computer would have been superfluous. Alternatively, you could have connected directly to the Raspberry from the Windows PC.
