I cashed in some donation money and purchased a HP Officejet 3831, which is a combined Printer / Scanner. Ubuntu 17.04 with driverless IPP (Internet Printing Protocol) was vastly easier to get working compared to Ubuntu 16.04 (KDE Neon) where I had to choose a driver.
Overall it was still an easy experience to get a printer working in Linux.
Thanks to everyone who has donated to my channel.
