Drukhari new Coven winning list and how to face it - Death Guard Tactics Warhammer 40k 9th edition
35Looking at the US Open Finale winning Drukhari list by Mani, what it can do and how to face it with Death Guard and Thousand Sons.
The Drukhari Coven are very strong (also now that Talos are point reduced) and in particular this list based around Wracks/Grotesques and Talos. They are very durable , getting DR, 5+++ FNP (hey thats our stuff :-)) and high Toughness. They can do a ton of damage in melee and can move fast as well.
Looking at which tools in Death Guard army are best to deal with the Wracks/Grotesques and Talos , and I think Death Guard are in a good position vs this army compared to other factions. (Contagion, FBS aura, strong Melee and durability) but it seems to me that its gonna be a tough fight regardless.
Thousand Sons are more vulnerable in melee, and have to utilise their Psychic Superiority and good shooting + Orrery to chip away at the Drukhari while hopefull dancing around the map attacking exposed Drukhari areas.
