Dude plays Turok Level 1: Hub Ruins!
3Well hey, guys and welcome to a brand new walkthrough of Turok: The Dinosaur Hunter played on the PC as a part of the Steam Platform and since we are on level 1 we will be blasting and narrowing our way through the hub ruins as it is level 1 of this entire game and we will have to find five keys altogether in this level and go onto the next one simply called The Jungle and we will be traversing our way through Mayan-like Jungle and cave terrain filled with very ancient Meso-American type of architecture no doubt and we will be also jumping on lots of platforms in this level as well and yes we will have to do that to get through this map and get the five keys. Now whether or not that will form the so-called Chronoscepter I am not sure all I know at this point in time is that we will need those five keys to get through this map and onto the next one. Now just for the sake of introducing the character, we will play in this game is a Native American by the name of Turok AKA Tal-Set which makes sense as both Turok and Tal Set sound very Native American no doubt, and as such we will be using both conventional first-person shooter game weapons like guns, grenades and perhaps rocket launchers but also far more low-tech weapons like your classically Native American bow and arrow of which we will use along with typical guns and grenades as I said before just now as I am sure we will find some more low-tech and traditional Native American weapons along the way.
I absolutely love the level design, not in just this level but the rest of the game period with its very weird and wild sort of tiki jungle setting akin to what you might see in a South Pacific, prehistoric dinosaur, or Meso-American setting from Ancient Mayan or Aztec times and the level as well as the overall game is a very classically fps design of its 1990s time frame of course as I just love jungle levels in 1990s videogames as they have a very distinctively colorful and optimistic look to them that you just associate very much with 90s videogames and that as such makes it very nostalgic for me as of course, I am a child of the 1990s as that is when I grew up of course as I was ten years old when this game was released originally for the Nintendo 64 nearly 25 years ago in 1997. WOW! How time flies as you get older as I myself now am now 34 pushing 35 years old as I will be 35 years old on January 18th, 2022 next year.
