Dimebag’s widow, Rita Haney, is suing Dean Guitars for breach of contract among other things. Basically it boils down to new ownership at Dean doesn’t care about the legacy of Dimebag, and therefore has done some pretty shady business.

Longtime Cure bass player Simon Gallup has announced that he is no longer part of the band. This just before the release of what Robert Smith calls the final music from the Cure in the form of 2 albums that are in the final mixing stages.

In a new deal with South Korean Naver, who owns Webtoons, DC will be publishing comics that “will appeal to all fans, without the need to know or read any previous stories.”
Penguin
The crime boss’ 80th anniversary is coming up. To commemorate Penguin’s birthday, as it were, DC is releasing Gotham City Villains Anniversary Giant #1 in November. The book will be MORE than just Penguin, but will feature a Penguin story penned by Tim Burton’s Penguin actor, Dany DeVito with Paul Kaminski. Nov 30th.
Daredevil
Marvel has announced that issue #36 will end the character’s solo book… or will it? Writer Chip Zdarsky AND Marvel themselves say that the Daredevil saga will continue, just differently. The book hits shelves Nov 17.

Also part of this deal is animated film “Ron’s Gone Wrong,” Ridley Scott’s period drama “The Last Duel,” and Steven Spielberg’s musical “West Side Story.”
