Raw footage of Smeringurus mesaensis showing digging/burrowing behavior.

The scorpion mainly uses its many legs to kick dirt out of the desired burrowing spot, as well as using the tail to push and shovel.

The scorpion is currently housed in a 5.5 gallon tank with a substrate mix of sand and excavator clay.
