This can only be done in the Celestial Planes during the fight with Shandriel.

Don't know how to explain why this happens, but enemies that usually give out 30-40EXP automatically die, and give out hundreds of EXP (based on your level, of course). This has worked on all four of my DH:A play-throughs so I'm guessing this is a consistent thing.
