4Time for some quick action, quick reflexes, and quick thinking! Or it could just be a quickly-moving video. Who knows!
I gotta say, it's really easy to get a character going after a few non-stagnant runs. You accumulate not only potion and spell knowledge, but also whole books, stat-boosts, and the chance to recover fallen heroes for tons of experience and sometimes more than that! What makes this interesting, aside from making it simpler for casual players to enjoy themselves, is that it brings a whole new idea to completing the game based on time-crunching and optimization. Unlike your typical roguelike, where your death is everything, here you could potentially kill off a player on purpose, after he's collected some items and boons of interest, then start the next character who's outfitted with a completely different build made for the late-game. You could use each hero as a platform for the next to ride upon until finally getting a character who could reasonably finish up the game in an hour or so. Just a thought!
