"The Dragon Vein is the source of a special type of energy that spans across all dimensions. Kunlun is the homeland of higher dimensional beings who have developed advanced Dragon Vein technologies in order to harness its energy.
Ximending, a vibrant district in the city of Taipei, is an area known to hold a great amount of Dragon Vein energy. This energy coalesces, creating an unstable dimensional threshold within the city. This dimensional space, which cannot be perceived by humans, contains a tremendous amount of Dragon Vein energy, attracting the Chaos Beasts, energy lifeforms that feed upon this energy.
The arrival of Chaos Beasts often creates anomalous dimensional disturbances. Worried about the possibility of an invasion, Kunlun created the Dragon Vein Control System and installed it into the space now known as Youshanding."
