The best way to farm trophies in Dying Light 2 is to find a good spot that has a big spot with a UV light, preferably next to a base, so that if you run into a problem you can go inside the base and heal up.
In this video I show you the spot I used, but there are dozens of unique spots just like this all around the map, so if you have another one that you know of you can use that.
After you have your spot, wait until night by just waiting or sleeping. When it's night, start from your spot, and run around looking for zombies that have icons above their heads. Howlers and Spitters are my favorite because they are plentiful and very easy to kill. When you find one, throw a knife at them to stagger them, then run up and kill them, and immediately start searching their body, and you will get a trophy from each one. You will NOT get a trophy from normal zombies, so you have to find the special ones.
Eventually while doing this, you will trigger a chase, when this happens, immediately run back to the your spot with UV light. If it's big enough, you can just stand there and wait for the zombies to run to you and they will run into the UV light and get staggered a little, and then you can kill them all quickly and collect their trophies. You can then step out of the UV light and more will run to you while the chase is still active. Repeat this process over and over until the chase ends. When it ends, you can repeat this again, but you may have to run further to find special zombies. Don't forget where your spot is, as its dark out and you may get lost if you don't remember which way to run back.
This is a very easy method to farm hundreds of trophies, and you will also get other items from the zombies such as Rice, Flour, Cigarettes, Bracelets, Scraps, Soap, Tools, Asporfin, Coins, and more. You can then sell these items at any base for more Coins, which you can then use to purchase weapons, items, and upgrades.
