- PS5 suffers from a bug that causes black flickering. Something unusual that should not have been overlooked.
- Quality mode for PS5 adds ray-tracing for shadows.
- All versions use SSR reflections. PS5 quality mode increases the quality of these reflections.
- Unlike Xbox, Dying Light 2 does not have Cross-save from PS4 to PS5.
- PS5 framerate is stable in all modes. In any case, the quality and performance modes have too low resolutions on PS5 and Series X.
- Quality and resolution modes add input lag on PS5, which makes Performance mode the most recommended.
- Personally, I find the implementation of motion blur in this game terrible. Techland should give you the option to disable it.
- The PS4 and PS4 Pro versions suffer from quite a bit of tearing, especially in areas with high density of vegetation.
- 3x faster load times on PS5, but quite long on all versions.
- I think a better optimization job could have been done, especially on PS5. This game has not gone through an easy development and unfortunately it shows in the final presentation.
