Dying Light - part 5
0"Dying Light" is a first-person survival horror action game developed by Techland and published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment. The game was released in January 2015 for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
Set in an open-world environment called Harran, "Dying Light" takes place in the aftermath of a viral outbreak that has turned most of the population into aggressive and deadly zombies. Players assume the role of Kyle Crane, an undercover operative sent into the city to retrieve a classified file stolen by a political figure.
The gameplay of "Dying Light" combines elements of parkour with first-person combat, exploration, and a day-night cycle. During the day, players can scavenge for supplies, complete missions, and interact with non-infected survivors. However, as night falls, more dangerous and aggressive zombies known as Volatiles emerge, making traversal and survival more challenging.
The game features a dynamic day-night cycle, which affects the behavior and strength of the infected. Players can use parkour skills to navigate the city, climbing buildings, leaping across rooftops, and utilizing the environment to their advantage. The combat system emphasizes melee combat, with various weapons and modifications available to create unique and powerful tools for fighting the infected.
"Dying Light" also incorporates role-playing game elements, allowing players to earn experience points, level up, and acquire new skills and abilities to enhance their character's survival capabilities.
The game received positive reviews for its immersive gameplay, parkour mechanics, and intense atmosphere. It has also received several expansion packs and a sequel called "Dying Light 2" is in development. Please note that as of my knowledge cutoff in September 2021, "Dying Light 2" has not been released yet.
