Dying Light VR Gameplay Part 2 | Oculus Quest 2 | Airlink
It's been a few days but I decided to come back to this again...this game is incredibly intense but very exciting...being able to run and parkour etc on a VR headset to me is simply amazing,I wish more games were like this...anyways,in this quick gameplay,I had my first mini boss fight...wow...it was frightening and intense, the added 3 dimensional sounds and loud bass filled thuds, that were made, whenever this enraged zombie on steroids swung down his makeshift sledgehammer hitting the ground were truly terrifying...definately had my adrenaline pumping...legit,I almost felt like I was fighting for my life lol virtual reality can do wonders I swear,no wonder why it's so addictive....for the best viewing experience, wear a pair of decent headphones...you'll see what I mean(or hear rather)on how intense this game is...anyhow,I'll be uploading part 3 of my playthrough possibly tomorrow but I still have a couple of other new games to test out...as always,if you genuinely enjoy my content, please consider dropping a like and subscribing...enjoy:-)
FYI there's some instructions below if anyone wants to try this game in full VR and has an Oculus Rift or Quest headset.
Instructions for getting this to run in VR:
This is the "official" VR support by Techland that is hidden in the game files.
This is not for the feint of heart or people that get motion sick very easily.
Step 1:You are going to want to open your documents folder and go to
Dying Light\out\settings and you will see two files, audio.scr and video.scr
Step 2:Now you want to make a text document inside the folder.
Right click anywhere,hover over "new",and select"text document".
Step 3:Open the text document and drag and drop the video.scr file into it.
Now scroll down to the bottom half of the text and enter
"OculusEnabled()"without the quotes. It doesn't matter where you put this.
Be sure to save the document. If you are an oculus user,
this is all you have to do...enjoy Dying Light in VR:-)
Some extra tips to further enhance gameplay:
Turn antialiasing off in settings as this
makes weird texture bugs and it doesn't really
improve the image much...and turn off Nvidia PCSS
because shadows will look different in each eye
and will cause you eye strain...now have fun slaying
the undead...and hopefully not actual living
people...unless they really piss you off lol jk
