James Sweeney has tackled a significant project for the last several years with Twinless, a film he wrote, directed, produced and also stars in. He's at the center of the story, playing Dennis, a man working through his grief in a twin-loss support group. That's where Sweeney finds himself across from Dylan O'Brien, who inhabits one of the most demanding roles of his career thus far, a feat that pays off with his career-best performance. O’Brien portrays both Roman and his late twin brother Rocky, seen through flashbacks, each of whom has a distinct personality from the other.
The dark comedy’s supporting cast includes Aisling Franciosi as Marcie, Lauren Graham as Lisa, Tasha Smith as Charlotte, Chris Perfetti as George, François Arnaud as Sammy, Susan Park as Sage, and Cree Cicchino as Bianca.
