Working from a young age, Violet and Madeleine McGraw have made their mark in cinema, particularly in the realm of horror, with their already impressive filmographies. With Black Phone 2's release just around the corner, in which Madeleine McGraw plays Gwen, the two sisters headed to San Diego Comic-Con 2025, where they spoke to Collider's Perri Nemiroff. Since the two of them were together, Nemiroff took the opportunity to ask about their careers, from acting together to admiring each other's craft to becoming executive producers. They talk about their previous projects, including M3GAN and its sequel, both Black Phones, Black Widow, and The Curse of the Necklace.
While the sisters have performed in a variety of different roles, their main genre is horror and they're thriving in it. Violet McGraw made a compelling co-lead alongside Allison Williams in the techno-horror M3GAN, where their aunt-niece relationship turns awry due to a murderous companion robot. On the other hand, Madeleine McGraw jumped onto the creepy movie set of The Black Phone, where she plays Finney's (Mason Thames) little sister, who has strange prophetic powers and delivers an endearing and gripping performance. Together, they also produced and starred in The Curse of the Necklace, a fun foray into cursed object horror, where an antique necklace wreaks havoc on a family.
In addition to their turns as executive producers, you can hear about all they have learned on these various movie sets and their favorite horror movies straight from the sisters in this interview!
