Trust Interview: The Magic of Sophie Turner & What's Next for the SAW Franchise
10There are exciting happenings in the horror community. Recently, Twisted Pictures sold the rights to its bread and butter franchise, with Saw landing safely in the hands of Blumhouse and James Wan's Atomic Monster. Now, Twisted Pictures co-founder Oren Koules is joining forces with his son, Miles Koules (indeed, the retired pro hockey player), who recently launched Koulest Productions to bring fans more "horror, thrillers, and cool stories" like Trust, starring Game of Thrones breakout Sophie Turner. To take us behind the scenes, Collider's Perri Nemiroff had the chance to sit down with the Koules duo and stars of the film for an in-depth Q&A.
For Koulest Productions' debut feature release, Trust is a contained thriller penned by Stepmom screenwriter Gigi Levangie and directed by actress-turned-filmmaker Carlson Young (The Blazing World). The movie follows Lauren Lane (Turner), a Hollywood starlet who isolates herself in a remote cabin after a scandal threatens to upend her life. While retreating for some much-needed R&R, Lauren discovers the man she's trusted with her career has betrayed her, and now she's stuck in a brutal cat-and-mouse game of survival. Trust also stars Rhys Coiro (Entourage), Katey Sagal (Sons of Anarchy), Peter Mensah (Gladiator II), Gianni Paolo (Ma), and Forrest Goodluck (How to Blow Up a Pipeline).
