Dynamite Headdy Scene 8-1 to 8-5 (Fan Retranslation)
The entirety of Scene 8 is the longest of all of the scenes in the game, as it presents 5 different areas for our hero Headdy to travel through.
Headdy has finally made it inside King Dark Demon's castle. Now he must go through it in order to reach the Emperor, himself.
--------------
Scene 8-1 appears to be a rocket tunnel, as you are constantly under the threat of getting hit by a giant colorful rocket. Either use the Spike Head to stay above the rockets, or use the Mini Head to stay under them. You get a Secret Bonus Point if you manage to get all of the 500 points bonuses here.
In Scene 8-2, you have to fight the Base Captain/Missile Man. All you have to do is hit his tower enough time to knock him off of it, all while use still dodge his giant missiles the same ways you were doing in Scene 8-1. Once you beat him, you can get another Secret Bonus Point by hitting on of the orange solders that fall from the top of the screen.
--------------
Scene 8-3 has you go through a bit of a maze at first. Eventually, you'll reach a boss that changes the scene's music: Taro/Tarot. Some of the objects he has orbiting him hurts him by the number these objects have, so 2, 4, & 8 hits.
He also has a heart orb. Hitting this at him will heal him, but you need to hit this thing 3 times to get another Secret Bonus Point. Beat him once and he'll forget about all of these things and just attack with his sun blades. Beat him from there to beat him for good, and then you'll be able to continue through Scene 8-3.
Watch out for the head eating plants and (nearly) all of the signs that say "DON'T SHOOT". They'll give you the Big Head, the worst head powerup in the game and more of a cursed item. It slows you down to a crawl, and you can't cancel it on your own. You might've seen it before during a previous boss battle.
Only one of those "DON'T SHOOT" signs are safe, and that the one right after all of the Fukkuns/Hangmen.
--------------
Scene 8-4 has you switch the gravity around in order to bypass areas that Headdy just can't jump over on his own. You'll have to do this in order to fight a boss located here called Thunder Captain/Sparky. You can't hit him directly and must use the purple balls and antigravity machines to make the balls land on him for damage. Just be careful as these balls can also hurt you while they're moving.
Remember that at the start of Scene 8-4, you can get a Secret Bonus Point by hitting three of the projectiles shot at you by the upside-down turret heads.
--------------
Scene 8-5, the last part of Scene 8, has you fight against what is probably the hardest boss in the whole game: Rever Face/Twin Freaks. He use anti-gravity to transform.
In his normal rightside-up form, he's green, smiles at you, and casually chases after you while shooting funny objects at you, one of which could be Bino, who will give you a Secret Bonus Point, if you manage to hit him.
However, when you need to reverse gravity to bypass an obstacle, he becomes red, gets angrier, and chases after you faster. His weakspot is his ear, but you can only damage it while he's green.
If you manage to beat Rever Face/Twin Freaks, you'll finally beat Scene 8 and can now start on some of the last levels in the whole game.
