Dyson Sphere Program - Zen Sandbox, Accumulators and Power Generation
No voice.
Further experimentation with power generation:
* Thermal Generators and Solar Panels seem to balance power-draw in some manner
* Energy Exchanger/Accumulator discharging immediately reduces the Thermal Generator/Solar power-draw to zero, as the Energy Exchanger takes full priority
* Removing the Solar Panels, the Energy Exchanger takes full priority - only once it's empty does the Thermal Power take over
* Ditto for Fusion Power
* Ditto for Artificial Suns
Which is conclusive proof of how Energy Exchangers/Accumulators take priority when used in conjunction with other forms of power generation.
Apologies for the spam of videos involving power generation. I will get back to deconstructing / reconstructing the Zen playthrough - the teardown must continue.
To do:
1) Use the new Battlefield Assessment Buildings to gather desired items, it will be far easier to pick up the buildings with them
2) Work on new planetary block blueprints - with the secret Dark Fog tech running at 3x normal speed, all my current designs need to be rethought (either limit to 10 buildings in a line or lots of Automatic Pilers to stack everything in sight)
3) A new mall design is required - I'm thinking everything up to Yellow Science along the lines of my Stupid Amounts Of Everything mall, heavily influenced by Nilaus' tileable blueprint mall
I'm thinking that the square-ish mall design we've been using is too small and limited. With all the new items a new design is needed. Though the ammunition/bomb/missile build can be a separate planetary block of it's own, no need to put that into a mall.
I'm starting to envisage game progression to be as follows:
a) Boostrap mall, just the barebones needed for belts/sorters/assemblers/wind turbines/tesla towers
b) Interim mall, what's needed to make the more complex items once we've lifted off from our jumpstart planet
c) Interstellar mall, what's needed to go interplanetary/interstellar in a big way
It'll take some time, I'm not as good as TDA or Nilaus when it comes to analyzing these types of things.
