In a mix of Good and Bad news, CG apps from e-on Software, VUE, Plantfactory and PlantCatalog have all been made free. That all sounds like good news though, right? So what's the bad news? They are being made free because development is being stopped, except critical bugs.

e-on VUE is an all in one program for creating virtual worlds, while PlantFactory is a speedtree like program for creating foliage for your world. You can now download all 3 for Windows and Mac and use them completely free, even in commercial projects.
