EA SPORTS FIFA 14 | Passing Skills | The Bootroom 31/01/2014
Darren Cross discusses ways to score points from passing skill games and how it can benefit your gameplay.
You can make this skill game a lot easier for yourself by choosing the right player. Set an arena team that has players with good passing ability and then select the best individual from that team. When you have your player, you will begin with the bronze skill game. Simply pass the ball into the small nets, lining up the white arrow with the highlighted goal. You can earn bonus times for remaining attempts and time so don't be afraid to pass first time.
The silver skill game is slightly harder as it requires you to dodge obstacles when passing. Unlike the previous game, it may be worth taking your time if you are unsure whether you will successfully make the pass or not. This rule also applies to the gold skill game. The pass setting will now be switched to manual which mean you have to be very accurate when placing your pass. If the goal is behind you or at an acute angle, then take a touch to ensure you give yourself the best chance of hitting the target.
When you get onto the skill challenge, everything you have applied in the previous skill games will come into play here. Manual passing, dodging an obstacle and accurate placement are all required to effectively rack up points. You don't have time on the ball here so pick the player who is in the most space and make the pass count. Perform flare passes to earn bonus points but be aware that this may affect your pass accuracy and power.
