This is a preliminary video about the Eaglemoss Gold Dalek I painted in my last Dalek video and the plans I have for the two other Daleks also shown. The Gold Dalek from Day of the Daleks was the first Dalek I decided to alter but the Spiridon Gold Dalek leader from Planet of the Daleks only needs a very minor change to make it more accurate to the screen version. The main reason for this video is my plan to paint one of the Daleks hover/ flight thrusters underneath its base. The Dalek in the episode called Dalek does actually fly and you can see underneath when it does. I intend to copy the colour and update my Eaglemoss Dalek by painting the detail underneath to show this effect. The other Eaglemoss figures I got in the Dalek parliament set have flat bases with a sticker and felt so it seems to me like this one figure is asking for that extra bit of hidden detail to be made good use of. I consider painting and updating some models as a way of gaining more value for my money. This is why I often convert my Warhammer 40k Tyranid models etc because any extra detail can have extra time spent on it and I enjoy making my models unique which is part of why I am adapting some of these excellent figures.
