This one I paid for out of pocket. I applied for a key and didn't get one this time. Skul The Hero Slayer is a side scroller action rogue lite similar to games like Dead Cells, the combat is tough but fair. You play as a skull who can change his abilities based on kits he finds in the form of fallen warriors. These change your weapons, skills, and appearance but only for the run you find them in. It has semi permanent progression as well through a skill tree.

The game is in early access but you can buy in right now by getting it on the steam page. The planned launch is in September with console launch coming sometime Q4, with lots of planned changes coming all the while. Give It A Shot is where I play a game for the first time and share my thoughts as I go, basically a "First Impressions" video but as I go. It's like Something Neat but I don't know whether game is good or not and it's guaranteed early game content so no spoilers!
