I'm a bit tired of rallying right now so I'm going back to revisit some of my older runs to see if I feel like it and apparently I do feel like EDF5 so here's a small WR.
Changed back M2 to use the rifle on the first wave, found out that if you have a missile volley in the air you prevent the enemies from hiding behind stuff from the hitstun those cause, might even be a smidge faster and less random.
Went back to doing the missile tipping thing on M7 and added the Slade to the loadout, the missile are consistently faster that way, the Slade is more random than the Blazer for the final group but if you get a lucky grouping it's about 2-3 seconds faster and even got me a gold split while I was doing a few attempts.
And finally tweaked M14 to go Bolt shooter + Mighty Core instead, this strat if I did it right and got lucky could be 10 seconds faster than my current best split, whic itself was a whole 3 seconds faster than my previous gold split using the Big Bang core strat and it's a lot less reliant on stupid blind shots and positioning + energy management is potentially easier as well.
