Here comes the heroic EDF on a rural, mountainous road... and in the distance, UFOs dropping off ants. The air strikes can't take the UFOs out in this stage, but don't worry - they will later in the game. This stage introduces the dreaded golden colored ants, whose acid spray is way more concentrated and the field of fire narrowed. When I was playing Inferno for the first time to get a feel for what worked in each stage, I got one shotted with the Wing Diver when she had like 4500 Armor. BE CAREFUL when golden ants are on the field!
I like using the Fencer with the Great Shield and his homing missile launcher. You can see that I take a ton of damage because I was tanking everything, but why not? I went overboard farming for Armor so that I could have some fun while I was recording. Also, I tend to do a lot of damage to myself because of the explosions that seem to get me because of the way the missiles launch, haha. The UT3 machine gun is much less accurate than the FGZ version, and its bullets are less damaging, but it holds more ammo, and tends to work better against crowds of weaker enemies. I like the FGZ a little more, but I tend to swap between the two depending on what I'm fighting. The UT3 has a 10 second reload time (!!) as opposed to the FGZ's 11 seconds. Not that it makes much difference while using a shield, but still.
