Earthbound, known as Mother 2 in Japan, is a JRPG for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System that released in 1994 in Japan (1995 in the US). The story involves a tale of a boy named Ness, who investigates a mysterious meteor crash one night, only to learn that he and two other boys and one girl are the key to defeating the evil Giygas. With humor that makes fun of the typical ins and outs of a JRPG, this is going to be one funny and epic adventure. Earthbound is a turn based RPG packed with the humor that the story has as well as many parodies of things of the real world. What makes it unique is the use of a skill called PSI, and the fact that HP will slowly tick up and down upon changes.
