Earthion New Sega Genesis Scrolling Shooter Coming
76The name Yuzo Koshiro probably does not mean that much to gamers today but ask a retro gaming fan. During the 16-Bit era, Koshiro was gaming’s Miyamoto. He was able to make memorable music come from hardware that probably should not have been able to produce it. Then when he was working with hardware that could do amazing things, his craft stood head and shoulders above others. Go listen to Actraiser on the Super Nintendo, or the soundtrack for Streets of Rage 1 and 2 on the Sega Genesis. Simply phenomenal audio work through and through. He even dabbled in game development with Beyond Oasis (Sega Genesis) and Legend of Oasis (Sega Saturn). Via his company, Ancient which was founded in 1990, Koshiro is returning to the 16-Bit world with Earthion, a side scrolling shooter that fits the Sega Genesis perfectly.
