The Taliban government has raised the death toll to 2,205 and the number of injured to 3,640 from the magnitude 6.0 earthquake that devastated eastern Afghanistan. The quake, considered the deadliest in the country's recent history, destroyed some 7,000 homes and left thousands of families homeless.
