The Afterneath is fast becoming the go-to for ambient reverberation wash. It uses a ton of short delays to create its reverbs and reflections and has a very cool 'Drag' control knob that you can use to some crazed time warping on the fly. Hopefully I've demonstrated its potential here.
The Afterneath has already collected some awards and no doubt there will be more forthcoming. This video aims to show you how it might be used in context (thank you, Joni Mitchell) while also outlining what each and every control does.
The guitar tuning, for those interested is, low to high: C. G, C, E, G, C. When I planned this video I was going to play Joni's "Amelia", hence the tuning. But while researching the song on Youtube I started playing around with her beautiful "Both Sides Now" in the same tuning and, well, that's what you got! :)
Oh, there is a VERY odd note some way into the video. I could have edited it out but decided, what the hell, I'll leave it in. A bit of sweet and sour. Ha.
