EASTER EGG WALKTHROUGH | Atari's Adventure | Difficulty Level 2 Tutorial
0This is an Easter Egg or Hidden Room tutorial / walkthrough / play through of Adventure on difficulty level 2
First we will set out to find the hidden room with the developer's name that he added to the game as an Easter Egg
The normal object of the game is to find the golden chalice and bring it inside the yellow castle
In this level there are three castles. A yellow castle where you start, a black castle to the north and a white castle to the south
Full Tutorial with Timestamps:
0:00 Set the game to difficulty level 2
0:04 Grab the bat that is scrolling on the first screen with the sword and try to defeat the dragons with that sword.
0:19 The yellow key is in the dark caverns below and to the right of the yellow castle. One room down and one room to the right. Use this key to open the yellow castle.
2:49 The white key is in the labyrinth to the left and above the yellow castle. From the yellow castles go one room down, one room left, one room up one room to the right. You need this key to unlock the white castle that contains the black key.
8:15 When you enter the white castle, the black key is one room up, one room to the right and one room down. To get the black key you need the bridge to cross the wall at the top of the top room before you can get to the room on the right where the black key is.
9:52 The Golden Chalice is in the black castle to the north in the 3rd room up once you enter the black castle and it is guarded by the red dragon 14:55.
15:47 The invisible pixel is in the black castle to the right of the room where the chalice and red dragon are found. 16:02 That is 3 rooms up and one room to the right after you enter the black castle. 16:36 In that room, it's in the bottom of the room behind a wall. You will need the bridge to get across the wall. 17:07
17:50 Once you have the invisible pixel, take the pixel to the room below and to the right of the yellow castle and drop the pixel anywhere in this room that you will remember so that you don't accidentally bump into it in the next step. If only the pixel is in the room you should see a black barrier on the right hand side of the room that doesn't allow you to bass to the right of that room.
Note: If you already had another object in the room before you brought the invisible pixel into the room then the barrier on the right will disappear and you can traverse to the normally hidden room to right of this room revealing the EASTER EGG message.
18:23 Bring another object into the room where you placed the invisible pixel. 18:32 This second object will make the barrier bar on the right hand side disappear or blink so that you can travers to the normally hidden room on the right side of this room. Moving to the room on the right will reveal the EASTER EGG message. 18:36
That's it for the Easter Egg.
19:16 To complete the game, take the golden chalice to the yellow castle.
Notes:
The bat randomly takes an items and moves them on the map
0:25 The magnet is two rooms below the white castle to the south.
0:19 The bridge is in the dark caverns, below and to the right of the yellow castle. This is one room below where the yellow key is found.
3:27 On difficulty level 2 there is a yellow dragon inside the white castle.
When you re-spawn after a death in the current game all the previously defeated dragons revive.
19:47 To re-spawn without losing progress, on the console switch the reset switch once. (It is located on the right side)
You can use the yellow castle as a refuge from the bat for your items as you need to when traversing from the black castle in the north and the white castle in the south and visa versa.
14:55 On difficulty level 2 the red dragon is in the black castle in the third room up.
16:03 If there is more than one item in a room, the items in the room blink. The more items in a room, the more the items blink.
General strategy to unlock the Easter Egg in difficulty level 2:
1. Get the white key, unlock the white castle and find the black key in it. 2:49
2. Take the black key to the black castle and find the invisible pixel in it. 8:15 and 15:47
3. Take the invisible pixel to the room below and to the right of the yellow castle. 17:50 Drop it here.
4. Put any other stationary object in the same room as in step #5. 18:23
5. Move to the hidden room to the right of the room in step #5. 18:36
I have the original Atari 2600. For this video I used the PS4 with the Atari Flashback Classics Vol. 2 game disc. I love this game and am glad to report that the game plays exactly like the original.
