Edge of the World
3Okay, so Second Life is divided up into thousands of little regions called "sims". Every so often, these sims are restarted so that they could be refreshed. I was riding my train near one of these restarts, and figured I'd see what happened if I sat over the edge into a sim that was restarting. The sim came back, but because I wasn't technically in any sim any more, it didn't register that I was actually within the sim that restarted and the sim didn't rez. Thus, I found myself being able to fly over a glitchy ocean, which under normal circumstances, you wouldn't be able to do (invisible walls and such). It wasn't until I wandered back into land that registered me that the sims that restarted finally loaded.
This opportunity probably doesn't come up often (least not where I usually hang out), so I decided to record the event. And then I found this weird spinning thing that someone hung in the sky.
