Woo, I finally drew again!

Okay, so here's the deal. I hate drawing. And yet, I enjoy it. But a while back, my enjoyment was pretty much killed when I had people start telling me the "right" way to draw. You know, with circles and stuff. I don't do that. I like to draw things in short bursts, not take forever making perfection. So I've been wanting to get back intro drawing, whilst giving an artistic middle finger to those who feel the need to force upon me their ideal drawing methods. But it's been very hard getting myself to start again. Tonight was finally the night that I threw hesitance out the window!

And so, I present to you the first edition (of hopefully more than one edition) of "Drawing the Wrong Way", a video series in which I record myself drawing my way, using a mouse and MS Paint (it's what I know). The finished image can be found here: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/5264747/

Here we have a derp skunk. Because that's how I felt as I threw out my hesitance. Derpy. Oh, and also because I love skunks. (Sadly, they aren't legal pets where I'm from.) This video plays at x4 speed, with the actual time being a bit over 15 minutes. While I'm used to playing around with MS Paint, the Windows 7 version has a few new features I'm not quite used to. I used a couple of the new paintbrush options here. Not entirely sure I like them, as painting doesn't cover their entire circles, which means I have to offset where I'm painting. I kinda like the smeary, swipey resulting look, though.

I also have this habit of right-clicking to remove a line I'm in the middle of drawing. Which makes it easy to quickly erase mistakes, but I also sometimes twitch-click an erase when I don't want to. Bleh on that.

Anyway, hope you like this. And if you don't? Oh well. ^_^
