I discovered this Edo Castle theme from "Goemon's Great Adventure" (or "Mystical Ninja 2 starring Goemon" in Europe) by chance while browsing video game OSTs. I thought he had great energy, and he reminded me of the Yellow Magic Orchestra (the chord progression and the super groovy bass). It was also an opportunity to use my East Asian instrument and percussion sounds which too often collect dust!
I realize that I have never played any game in the Goemon series, I will have to remedy that!
