Here we are, halfway through 2016. While I'm away this weekend at Anime-Expo, I left behind another important topic that I wanted to start this month off with. This was inspired by two questions, one submitted anonymously over tumblr about putting importance into work without feeling like it's all for nothing, along with a YouTube comment asking for my thoughts on effort's equality to success when it comes to creative work. So, for this weekend's Kirblog topic, I get a little personal and explain some of my recent thought processes and changed values when it comes to my own personal motivation, what keeps me passionate in my work and creativity, how my outlook has changed over the years since my early days on Newgrounds, and finally my opinions and advice on the importance of how much effort we put into our growth as artists...and as people in general. This one's got a fair bit of repeated information and is a little more on the stream-of-consciousness side, but I sincerely hope it's helpful to you all and that get something out of it. Thanks and have a great 4th of July weekend!
