Effulgence RPG | Full Demo Let's Play
6Playing through the full demo for Effulgence RPG, an ASCII-styled party-based RPG where enemies aren't mere obstacles... they're the raw material for your weapons and gear! The demo covers a couple battle areas and some wandering the overworld.
Some thoughts: allow for the d-pad to move properly on the overworld and not just an arbitrary order. Tutorials are sorely needed as I felt like I was just throwing myself at the enemies. The heal feels very not worth it, since you have to spend your health to use it... and then you just die anyways. A way to make the UI stay in place for enemy stats would be highly appreciated. Also, at least for the demo, let the player continue to explore the world after the final fight (even if some is flatout locked/inaccessible).
