Ego on DayZ Underground - Arrival
So, after having been away from DayZ for a long time, I realized that I missed it and I wanted to gradually get some new RP-material off the ground. However, I wanted to start fresh, so I chose a server which I was fairly new to. Also, it is an organic RP server, meaning it is possible to get shot at any point in time. Hence I decided to document my first proper experience on DayZ Underground, meeting people and trying to find my way around as a curious wanderer. Now, two things I wanna say:
First, with this series, I am going to keep my stories as much stand-alone as possible. No "episode number X" or any over-arching plotlines. While they are very compelling to follow, trying to keep your own story intact and relevant while also trying your best to keep up with the ever changing tides of plot on the server is almost always doomed to fail, as at one point you might find yourself having missed an entire development just because you weren't online, and your whole machiavellian work of art just goes right out the window. Better to keep these things small and self-contained.
Second, I know from own personal experience how time-consuming the editing process is, especially if you have anything approximating a life, so I can't promise frequent releases or even regular ones. I used to say once every two months back in the day, but that was being generous, because other things could (and would) get in the way, to the point where I had so much pressure on me that it became more about the "job" as opposed to having fun. So I want to underline that releases will be very random and infrequent.
But even if these episodes won't be consistent, I will keep this as a nice little side project which might get an update every now and then. :)
As for the series itself, if you have seen my previous series, you know that I am much more of a talker rather than a fighter and tend to avoid battles as much as possible (because I am extremely likely to die to any average DayZ player if I ever end up in a gunfight; I just don't have the knee-jerk reactions as most of you young'uns. XD..), so I can't promise a lot of action.
But I still try to make it somewhat interesting. ^^ And shoutout to everybody who I met (and will meet) along the way.
