I really didn't want to resort to this method of fighting him, but after seeing that second phase and playing the floor is lava. It became a race to see who can kill who first. The first phase was fun using normal melee attacks and not relying on Ash of War but the arena becomes a pain in the ass so I had to go full bonk mode.
