I had the privilege of testing some of the characters in pre production for Elemental. Here are some of my favorite test shots!
With Wade, I always liked the idea of him turning into a simple water balloon blob. This test alone took about a week to animate with the early rig.

Part of Ember’s early exploration was figuring out how her glass blowing would work. This is also how I look/feel when animating.

Here’s a similar thought with Ember. I pitched the idea of when she was very upset/anxious she could turn into a fireball of energy.

And finally a locomotion test for Lutz. Wish he could have been in the movie more!
