Elgato Game Capture HD - Wii U 1080p Test || Wind Waker HD
Received my Elgato Game Capture HD a couple of months ago and I have been very impressed with it. It is vastly superior to my old AverTV Capture HD.
It can record in 1080p and the colour is not washy as it was with my AverTV product. The software is amazing to use and extremely user friendly. One click and you can being recording.
This is a simple test in which I recorded my new Wii U in 1080p running The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD.
The Elgato is capable of recording an Xbox One,Xbox 360, PS3, Wii, Wii U, Gamecube, PS2, PS1, SNES, Sega Mega Drive (Genesis) and a Nintendo 64.
It currently cannot capture PS4 footage but will hopefully be patched in sometime in the near future.
Unfortunately the S-Video/Composite adapter does NOT come packaged with the Elgato which I was led to believe, I had to purchase it seperately from the Elgato store for €9,99 (€15 total with shipping).
I highly recommend the product for those whising to capture in the highest quality.
The Wind Waker HD expands on the original with updated 1080p-resolution graphics, an alternative lighting engine, as well as new gameplay features and modifications. The release of the game marks the ten-year anniversary of the international release of the original, and the first game in the The Legend of Zelda series released on the Wii U.

Elgato is releasing the Game Capture HD, a device that lets game-casters and YouTube walkthrough mavens shed low-resolution, over-the-shoulder smartphone footage once and for all. The sleek black box sits between console and display, enabling gamers to record their speed runs and kill records for the world to see. Xbox 360 users can daisy-chain the gear into their HDMI set-up, while PS3 users will have to use the bundled AV cable to circumvent Sony's stronger copy protection. The footage will then be compressed with the company's H.264 know-how and pushed to your PC or Mac for uploading. When it arrives at the start of June, it'll set you back $200 -- just giving you enough time to get practicing your soothing and confident narration voice.
